Lab Migration Project
This activity aims to migrate labs that use proprietary software (e.g. Aspen Plus, PRO/II) to DWSIM. DWSIM is free/libre and open source and allows chemical engineering students and practising engineers to model process plants by using rigorous thermodynamic and unit operations' models.. Hence educational institutions can save a huge amount of money which they may spend on procuring licenses.
We invite students and faculty from all Engineering Colleges to come forward and take part in this activity. The Lab Migration team helps in the following ways:
- Provide suggestions on the different ways DWSIM can be implemented in the laboratory.
- Coordinate the migration of the lab to FLOSS only laboratory.
- Provide solutions to the lab's problem statements.
- Conduct DWSIM workshops free of cost.
